Dr. Kimberley Schneberk, Dr.TCM graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver (ICTCM) in 2002 at the top of her class, completing 4 of her total 8 years of study in both Eastern and Western medicine.Upon her graduation from ICTCM in 2002, and successful completion of the Provincial Acupuncture licensing exam, she achieved the highest level of certification in BC by completing the Provincial Doctorate Licensing Exam for Traditional Chinese Medicine entitling her to the designation of Dr.TCM.
For 18 years she provided acupuncture and TCM services for Together We Can, Vancouver's largest residential men's treatment facility, assisting thousands of men recover from substance use. From 2017-2022, she was a member of the CTCMA Board of Directors, and served as Vice-Chair from 2019-2021. She also served as a member of the Board and as Vice-President of CARB-TCMPA from 2021-2022. Between 2015-2023, Dr. Schneberk received successive years of appointment by the Minister of Health as a professional member to the Healthcare Practitioners Special Committee for Audit. In 2023 her career in regulatory work continued, joining CTCMA BC (College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC) as Practice Consultant, and following the Ministry of Health's directed amalgamation of 4 regulatory Colleges on June 28, 2024, as Practice Advisor with CCHPBC (College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC). In 2015, she founded Medicinal Roots Magazine, Canada's premier online TCM publication for practitioners and students, with a substantial worldwide following. Following the retirement of the MRM publication in 2024, she joined CARB-TCMPA's Magazine Editorial Advisory Committee, as chair. She has worked with a diverse patient population throughout her career in both private and public institutions, focused mostly on the treatment of substance use and mental Illness. Currently, she provides acupuncture and TCM programming to North Vancouver's Avalon Recovery Society Women's Centre, and maintains a part-time private practice at Moveo Sport & Rehabilitation Centre. Constantly learning, Dr. Schneberk has completed extensive post graduate training in many areas of practice that are of special interest to her, including palliative and end-of-life care, as well as trauma informed practices, Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility, and American Sign Language (ASL). As part of her person-centred approach, Dr. Schneberk strives to meet patients where they are at; integrating various treatment styles to best suit one's need. Dr. Schneberk welcomes all patients with acute, chronic and general health maintenance needs as well as those with life limiting illnesses or seeking additional palliative care supports.
